Audi Q6 E-Tron Starts Under $64k, Offers Up To 321 Miles Of Range

  • Audi has announced the Q6 e-tron will be priced from $63,800 in the United States.
  • Three different powertrains will be available and the range-topping SQ6 e-tron offers 509 hp for $72,900.
  • Range varies by model, but the rear-wheel drive variant can travel up to 321 miles on a single charge.

The Audi Q6 e-tron will arrive at U.S. dealerships before the end of the year and the company has announced pricing will begin at $63,800. That’s $8,600 more than the Q4 e-tron, but $10,600 less than the Q8 e-tron.

Three different models will be available including an entry-level Q6 e-tron. It features a 100 kWh battery pack as well as a rear-mounted motor producing up to 322 hp (240 kW / 326 PS). This enables the crossover to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 6.3 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 130 mph (209 km/h).

When equipped with the optional ultra package, which includes 18-inch wheels with low rolling resistance summer tires, the model has an EPA range of 321 miles (517 km). That’s the longest distance of any Audi EV.

Customers looking for all-weather traction can upgrade to the Q6 e-tron quattro, which begins at $65,800. It has a 100 kWh battery pack and a dual-motor all-wheel drive system producing up to 456 hp (340 kW / 462 PS) with launch control. This cuts the 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) time to 4.9 seconds, but the top speed remains unchanged at 130 mph (209 km/h). Range takes a slight hit as the model is only expected to travel 307 miles (494 km) between charges.

If that isn’t fast enough, you can snag the SQ6 e-tron for $72,900. Its dual-motor all-wheel drive system produces up to 509 hp (380 kW /  516 PS) and this means it can hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in 4.1 seconds as well as a top speed of 143 mph (230 km/h). However, thanks in part to larger 20-inch wheels, the range is a more modest 275 miles (443 km).

When it’s time to recharge, the 260 or 270 kW DC fast charging capability can take the battery from 10-80% in as little as 21 minutes. At home, customers can charge at up to 9.6 kW, but the company announced an “optional onboard charging setup, anticipated to be available at a later date, [which] will support AC charging rates up to 19.2 kW (240V/80A).”

The three models have Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige trims. Audi didn’t delve into many specifics, but the entry-level Q6 e-tron Premium has LED lighting units and 19-inch wheels. Buyers will also find an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.5-inch infotainment system running Android Automotive. They’re joined by stone grey birch linear natural wood trim and an assortment of driver assistance systems including adaptive cruise control, collision avoidance assist, emergency brake assist, and traffic sign recognition.

The Q6 e-tron Premium Plus adds fancier LED headlights, an augmented reality head-up display, and a Bang & Olufsen premium audio system. Buyers will also find a panoramic sunroof and heated rear seats.

The Prestige variant goes even further as it adds an adaptive air suspension, acoustic front side glass, and a 10.9-inch front passenger display.
