  • Ford has introduced the 2025 F-Series Super Duty, which features styling, equipment, and trim changes.
  • The range-topping Limited has apparently been killed off and effectively replaced by a new Platinum Plus variant.
  • Prices for the F-250 and F-350 have climbed $330 and $580, respectively.

Ford has opened the order banks for the 2025 Ford F-Series Super Duty. Pricing starts at $45,300 for the F-250, while the F-350 will set you back $46,595. Those are price hikes of $330 and $580, respectively.

While increases are never welcome, the F-250 undercuts the 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD. However, the Silverado 3500 HD is $95 less than the F-350.

So what’s new for 2025? Not much as the trucks got a major overhaul in 2023. That being said, there are an assortment of styling, equipment, and trim updates.

Luxury trucks have exploded in popularity and Ford is looking to capitalize on things with a new Platinum Plus Package. It adds a satin finish grille with bright chrome inserts as well as an exclusive Smoked Truffle interior. The latter features max recline seats covered in perforated Venetian leather with French stitching. The model also comes with a 7.2 kW Pro Power Onboard system as customers are presumably opposed to roughing it.

Interestingly, Ford is trying to elevate the ownership experience even further as Platinum Plus customers will get a personalized gift as well as Blue Tier status in the FordPass Rewards program. Buyers will also get “unlimited guided personal virtual tours to explain vehicle features, one-on-one texting with product experts, and a 20% discount on all Ford accessories for the first 90 days of ownership.”

The standard Platinum hasn’t been forgotten as it now sports body-color door handles as well as a black painted grille with a matching tailgate appliqué. Inside, there’s a new Black Onyx interior with Platinum Blue accents.

Further down the trim ladder is the Lariat, which now comes equipped with ActiveX upholstery as well as a wrapped steering wheel. Buyers will also find a fixed rear window with privacy glass and a defrost function.

While Ford didn’t mention it, the Limited trim appears to be dead as it’s not listed under the F-250, F-350, or F-450. The range-topping variant started at $97,095 in F-250 guise and hit $104,030 for the F-450.

Additional changes are limited, but buyers will find two new colors known as Avalanche and Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat. There’s also an updated Black Appearance Package, which effectively merges the old Black Appearance Package and Sport Appearance Package into one.

Rounding out the highlights are a new Ford Pro Vehicle Integration System 2.0 and the degrading of SecuriCode keyless entry to a dealer installed option. Speaking of dealers, there are new Trailer Technology bundles including one that combines an auxiliary camera with a trailer tire pressure monitoring system.

Under the hood, the XL, XLT, and Lariat now come equipped with a 6.8-liter V8 producing 405 hp (302 kW / 411 PS) and 445 lb-ft (603 Nm) of torque. The 7.3-liter V8 lives on, but is now limited to the King Ranch and Platinum, where it produces 430 hp (321 kW / 436 PS) and 485 lb-ft (657 Nm) of torque.

All trims can also be equipped with an optional 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel engine. The entry-level unit produces 475 hp (354 kW / 482 PS) and 1,050 lb-ft (1,422 Nm) of torque, while the high output variant boosts that to 500 hp (373 kW / 507 PS) and 1,200 lb-ft (1,625 Nm) of torque.
